Fixed Dental bridges are an excellent alternative to a removable partial denture. They replace missing teeth, maintain facial shape, prevent remaining teeth from shifting out of position, restore chewing and speaking ability; and restore your smile.
A dental bridge is a fixed, cemented appliance that replaces missing teeth. The bridge consists of two crowns that anchor over your natural teeth on each side of the missing tooth or teeth called abutments. The artificial tooth is connected between them, replacing the gap caused by a missing tooth or teeth. This procedure usually requires two appointments. The first appointment is to make molds and prepare the teeth. This procedure is done using local anesthesia. A lab uses one of the molds to fabricate the bridge. Another mold is used to make a temporary bridge, worn until the second appointment. On your second appointment, we check the fit, cement in your new bridge and give you care and maintenance instructions.
The porcelain bridges are the most popular because they most resemble natural teeth. We will help you select the option that best fits your needs.
